My womenswear project, titled 'Fashion as a Form of Protection,' explores the idea of clothing as a shield, both physically and emotionally. Drawing inspiration from the protective garments worn during the Crusades, such as chain mail and armor, the collection translates historical elements into modern fashion. The designs emphasize self-expression, confidence, and empowerment, showcasing how fashion can act as a protective layer against societal pressures and internal insecurities. Through the use of rich textiles, symbolic motifs, and voluminous silhouettes, the collection blends historical references with contemporary aesthetics, creating a narrative that empowers women to embrace their individuality and resilience.
